step 1: sign in gmail then goto settings 

step 2:Along the horizontal navigation pane that appears, select Labs.

step 3: Scroll down or search for the lab features like Undo Send,Unread message icon,Preview Paneetc..., and click on enable.

step 4: Now scroll to the very top or very bottom and hit Save Changes.
